Interested in Technology? For the third year in row, Corporate Partner Comcast hosted the entire sophomore class for a “hands on experience” in technology. Students worked in teams to experience 6 different technologies with the goal of coming up with new applications-the same “ideation process” used at Comcast. Company representatives and STEM teachers guided the students through Makey Makey, Leap Motion, Oculus Rift, AfterSHOKZ, Blue2 Bluetooth Switch Control and Amazon Echo. Students presented new product ideas including remote surgery with the use of Leap Motion and combining Oculus Rift virtual technology and Leap Motion to create alternative teaching methods for students who are visual and hands on learners.
