Today, the students of the Junior class were treated to a guest speaker, David Tuck from the Holocaust Awareness Museum in Philadelphia. This was Mr. Tuck’s second time speaking to members of the Junior class about his experience surviving the Holocaust.
Students gathered together in the Auditorium and were shown a series of images of the liberators of Auschwitz and what they encountered upon first liberating the prisoners at the end of the war. Then Mr. Tuck told his story of survival of over five years in the camps.
Students, then had the chance to ask questions about what they had seen and heard. The entire Academy would like to thank Mr. Tuck once again for sharing his story with us.
