The FBLA conference at Hershey, PA was a “SWEET” success!

24 STEM Academy students attended the Pennsylvania Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) competition along with 5,000 students across the Commonwealth.

Congratulations to the following students. Those placing 4th place or higher are invited to the FBLA National competition, held in Atlanta, Georgia, in June.

  • FBLA Principles/Procedures (5th Place): Simarjeet Kaur
  • FBLA Principles/Procedures (6th Place): Riya Tipnis
  • Intro to Business Communication (1st Place): Catherine Li
  • Intro to Business Presentation (3rd Place): Meghana Chigurupati, Srirashmi Gudur
  • Intro to Information Techology (3rd Place): Vishwa Shanmugam
  • Intro to Parliamentary Procedures (9th Place): Rhea Jain
  • Networking Concepts (10th Place): Nick Zouras

While Annabelle Williams (Class of 2016) closed out her tenure as the FBLA State Reporter, we congratulate Vineeth Voruganti (Class of 2018) for winning the 2016-2017 FBLA State Parliamentarian position.

Congratulations to all of our competitors and a special thank you to Mary Beth Tomlinson (advisor), Susan  Boardman (chaperone), and Buck Jones (chaperone) for attending and supporting our students .
