Last week the Technology and Engineering teachers of the Downingtown STEM Academy were recognized by the Technology Engineering Education Association of Pennsylvania or TEEAP for having the Secondary Program of Excellence for the State of Pennsylvania.
Teachers Ms. Jocelyn Long, Mrs. Kaylia Austin, Mrs. Laury Grant and Mr. Micheal Marron were on hand to recieve the award at a banquet last week. Additionally, the team presented earlier at the TEEAP State wide conference about what makes the department and the program unique among other programs.
Even more exciting for the department is that this award qualifies them to attend the International Technology and Engineering Teachers Association conference later this year. Congratulations to the department that helps to put the T and the E into STEM!
