Techies Day 2015! Freshman Programming Class Visits Evolve IP

16 freshman and sophomores from Mrs. Tomlinson’s programming class spent the day at Evolve IP for the 17th Annual Techies Day.

Students experienced presentations from Evolve IP employees in areas of programming, service delivery, training and marketing.  Students commented that they never knew that there were so many career opportunities within the technology field.  Many more opportunities than coding! They finished their day there with pizza and experiencing Evolve IP’s culture by playing ping pong with some of the employees.

Evolve IP is a cloud based company which provides services in virtual computer systems, disaster recovery and IP phone systems, based in Wayne, PA.

Techies Day is an event held each October to provide a vehicle for high school students to learn about technology careers and opportunities in Chester County and the surrounding region. Groups of Chester County high school students spend four (4) hours on-site, learning about dynamic Chester County organizations, the technology that drives those organizations, and the people that drive the technology.
