Students at the Academy know there are many ways that they can be assessed. Today in the Advisory program for 9th and 10th grade students were led in discussions, by their room Advisors, on how they prepare for a test as well as sharing strategies that have worked for them so far in their time at the Academy. Additionally, students were asked how the review their tests when they receive them back to see where they can make improvements.
Students were shown the D.E.T.E.R. acronym to help them remember how to stay on task and performing at their best during an assessment. The lesson will extend beyond Advisory in Civics and History classes this week as the Brandywine Learning Center will be providing information regarding the new PSAT that students in grades 10 and 11 will take on October 14th.
