IB Physics Year 1 & Year 2 identified three main components to the course: class discussion of new content, individual practice to reinforce content and skills, and lab work. Using a station system, each class is broken into three groups and assigned a different station for a defined amount of time. Students then rotate through all three stations with their group. Today, seniors in Mr. Brown’s classes worked through practice problems regarding projectile motion, performed a calorimetry experiment, and also participated in a class discussion regarding centripetal force. The expectations of each station are very clear and a lot of new learning is taking place!
