Factor Label Method in 9th Grade Physics

Do you know the speed of a banana slug in miles per hour, but would rather know how many kilometers per year that is?  No problem.  Ask one of our 9th Grade Universal Physics students.  Today, the 9th Graders (with the guidance of Mr. Hopson, Mrs. Dinger, and Mr. Long) are working through a series of stations around the building involving multistep unit conversions.  This is an important skill not only for physics here at STEM, but also for our biology, chemistry, and engineering courses.
