On March 17th, an information night was offered to the parents of the Class of 2016 regarding senior year. The presentation focused on the IB Diploma Program, Career Exploration, CAS, and Extended Essay. Below you’ll find the presentation shared with the parents able to attend the session as well as some additional comments. Any questions, please let the main office know.*To the parents: Submission of all assessments will be done internally. All students are expected to complete all Assessments for their courses. Non-diploma candidates are still required to complete all assessments. Students who fail to complete an assessment will not be eligible for a grade for that course, and therefore, ineligible for the IB Diploma.
To the parents: The requirements for the IB Diploma are decided upon by the IB Organization and not the STEM Academy office. If you would like more information as to how the overall scores are determined, please contact your son or daughter’s IB teacher or Mr. Sheehan (firstname.lastname@example.org).
To the parents: All registrations will be completed by Mr. Sheehan and Mr. Jones internally. Students will then be asked to verify their registrations in the fall.
Any questions concerning fees should be directed to the main office.
To the parents: Any questions regarding the Career Exploration should be directed to Mrs. Susan Boardman (email@example.com).
To the parents: Juniors have met with Mr. Jones regarding CAS once every twelve days since September. All CAS work is done in Managebac, our online management system. There is no parent component to CAS that needs to be completed in Managebac. All CAS work is monitored by Mr. Jones. If you have questions about CAS, please direct them to Mr. Jones (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Mr. Sheehan (email@example.com).
