IB German students conducted their first IB internal speaking assessment. Senior German students prepared traditional Christmas specialities for the “STEM-Weihnachtsmarkt,” a miniature version of a traditional Christmas market in Germany. During the assessment, the students took turns playing the roles of salespeople and customers. To prepare, they learned about German Christmas traditions, as well as the heritage of their dishes, as part of the unit which addressed the IB themes of “celebrations, social and religious events” and “culinary heritage.”
This was truly a great experience. Check out the pictures below for some true creativity. Thank you to our language teachers for their planning and preparation in order to create valuable experiences for all.
