On February 20th-21st from 7pm-7am, the Downingtown STEM Academy NHS will hold the second annual Cam-A-Thon in memory of Cameron Evans, who passed away from leukemia in May of 2012. All STEM students are welcome to participate as well as students from both Downingtown West and Downingtown East as long as they have least one NHS member from their school on their team. For those of you that don’t know, this is a 12-hour dance marathon modeled after Penn State’s THON. All proceeds leading up to and at the event will go to the Cure4Cam Foundation; this foundation works to raise money for pediatric cancer research.
In order to participate students must form teams of 5-15 members. Teams with 5-9 members must raise a minimum of $500 and teams with 10-15 members must raise at least $1000.
